A very unusual vintage/antique tiki style, folk art totem, hand carved out of red cedar. It is a very organic piece with 4 separate faces carved on it. Because the top 2 faces and bottom 2 faces are on opposite sides of each other a very interesting side profile occours and it almost looks like the side profile is another face. It is extremely charismatic. The way the cedar grain is exposed throughout almost looks intentional. There is an old cedar and copper fence post topper on the top and its mounted onto a metal plate on top of a round metal base with an extra metal bottom cap. It is definitely old based on the condition of the metal pieces and the wood. My guess is this was originally finished smooth and over the years the grain rose up giving it a tactile texture. It is definitely a one of a kind piece with a very cool look and feel. It is 24" tall and 4"×4" though the metal bottom cap is 6.5"×6.5".
